Resolved: USB Unrecognized Issue On Mac OS X

I recently ran into issue with the HP usb drive, which was working fine on the Windows machine & wasn’t recognized on the macbook (with snow leopard). (Happens due to different USB drive formatting ways depending on the OS)

Follow simple steps to resolve this issue:

  • Connect your USB drive; Go to Applications -> Utilities
  • Open DiskUtility.app
  • Select your drive & choose erase using FAT option & you are done 🙂
